Labor Day Weekend Camp-out with Josh and Emily...

August 30, 2013...What an amazing weekend!!!  We went camping this weekend with Josh Caraccio and Emily Vigil (his girlfriend).  We found the best spot up the Uinta Mountains.  It was a little
place close to Soap Stone.  We thought we would have a rough time finding a spot.  It was Memorial Weekend and we weren't getting up there until 7:00pm.  We knew others would claim their spots, so we weren't sure we would get a wonderful spot.  Well, we drove up and found a back road that the big trailers couldn’t go up and then we found this awesome little flat camping spot that was away from everyone.  No
one was up there with us.
It was just us!  It was AMAZING!!!  When I came to your house to pack things up before we left for our trip, you had flowers waiting for me.  You called them our camping flowers.  They were red fabric flowers that you picked up at Walmart!  I thought it was the cutest thing ever…because that is just how you do things.  You are always being so cute to me.  I just adore you sooooo much!  When we got to camp, we pulled them out and planted them in the ground.  We
are going to take those with us every time we go camping...that way we will always be able to pull them out and have flowers at our campsite.  It was great to be with Josh and Emily.  We took Tango with us, and Josh brought Roxie.  Tango was completely protective of her own things and us.  If Roxie got near, she would growl.  It was cute how protective she was, but she was kind of ridiculous.  She attacked Roxie a couple times, and Roxie just pinned her both times with one paw.  It was pretty funny to watch.  We ate yummy food!  You made
your yummy veggies and then we made pizza and had the french toast and LOTS of bacon for you and Josh.  The stars were just gorgeous, and the weather was perfect.  There was enough fire wood up there to last for weeks.  It was just so peaceful.  Our view was incredible.  We were tucked into some trees, but if you walked about 30 yards, you could see miles away with just beautiful scenery and mountains and trees and fields.  It was just beautiful!  I couldn't
believe we found that spot.  You broke your exhaust pipe getting up there, and I felt really bad.  The road was rough, but we got up there just fine!  The next day we went on a hike with Tango. It was fun to just explore.  We started walking and we just went in the forest and didn't know exactly where we were going.  We found a little trail that looked like it used to be a trail that people drove on, but it had been abandoned for a very long time.  You could just see an absence of trees, that is how
you knew it used to be a trail.  We walked along that trail and then branched off.  We came to a place that had a creepy feeling.  We couldn't explain it, but it felt like a haunted forest with sad trees.  We walked through it and just kept going.  It was a lot of fun to just be with you in nature.  I love that we both love the same things.  We just enjoy being together and spending that time together, holding hands, enjoying the smells and views of everything around us.  We thought it was getting a little dark and thought it might rain.  We started heading back.
About 100 yards from our campsite it started sprinkling.  We got to our campsite and you set up your new screen tent and we put everything under it that could possibly get wet.  We decided to start a fire.  You wanted to find a "witch's nest" so we started searching our little camping area.  You found a great one.  It was HUGE, so you tossed it on the fire.  It caught on fire so fast and the flames were ENORMOUS!!!  We were laughing so hard and knew it would burn quickly, so we took a few
pictures.  It was so much fun to just be with you, as always!  What a fun day we had!  Josh and Emily went off and did their own fishing and hiking and then they came back at night.  We ate dinner together, played Rook, ate smore's and just visited.  It really was a lot of fun.  The next morning, we packed up and drove to this fun reservoir about 4 miles down the mountain.  It was very pretty there.  They had a campsite there that was closed.  we walked all around the campsite and thought it would be a perfect place to go.  We went down by the water and Roxie
was just diving in the water and swimming to fetch her stick.  Tango was so jealous and scared to go in the water.  She would try to steal Roxie's stick when she got close to shore.  Roxie would just shut her down.  Pretty soon Tango got tired of watching Roxie in the water, and she dove in.  It was hilarious!  She was so scared at first and she was so sloppy.  Her eyes were wide open, like she was so scared.  She was so sloppy when she swam, she was splashing everywhere.  It took her a
few times to get it down, but once she gained confidence, she was loving it.  It was really neat to watch her learn how to jump in the water.  She did an excellent job, and really didn't want to get out.  The water was cold, and you could tell she was getting tired, so we made her stop.  We all had such a fun weekend together.  We came right home after the reservoir.  We would love to go camping with Josh and Emily again soon!  Hopefully it will happen!
